Call of Duty 4 : Modern Warfare

It took awhile, but Infinity Ward finally got the message that World War II is played out. With modern times and international affairs becoming more and more, shall we say, interesting in recent years, the 1940s just don't carry as much weight as they used to. Perhaps that's why Call of Duty 4 has a new subtitle, Modern Warfare. By bringing things into a fictionalized story that still seems fairly plausible, the developer has made a much heavier game. But COD 4 is more than just an updated setting. It's also an amazing multiplayer first-person shooter and a great but brief single-player campaign with the visual chops to make it a standout shooter in an era filled with seemingly dozens of standout shooters.

Crysis

It was hard not to be completely impressed when the first images and videos of Crysis appeared about 18 months ago. Scenes of lush jungles and towering alien war machines looked light-years beyond what seemed possible. Of course, the two questions that revolved around Crysis since its announcement were whether it would deliver on those visuals and whether it would deliver a game worthy of those fancy graphics. It turns out that the answer to both those questions is a resounding yes, as Germany's Crytek has proven that its 2004 hit Far Cry was no fluke. In fact, it was just the beginning from this studio. With its sophomore effort, Crytek has managed to deliver an incredibly advanced and exciting first-person shooter that practically rewrites the rules for the entire genre.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3

When the Modern Warfare scion of the venerable Call of Duty franchise branched out four years ago, the electrifying campaign and addictive multiplayer cast a new mold for first-person shooters. In the years since, this formula has been consistently refined, shamelessly imitated, and widely adored, making it one of the defining franchises of this generation. Modern Warfare 3 stays the course, delivering an explosive campaign, breakneck competitive action, and challenging cooperative play. This is an exciting and rewarding game, but the series' signature thrills have lost some of their luster. Modern Warfare 3 iterates rather than innovates, so the fun you have is familiar. Fortunately, it's also utterly engrossing and immensely satisfying, giving fans another reason to rejoice in this busy shooter season.

Battlefield 3

When it comes to virtual battlefields, nobody does it quite like the Battlefield series. It has a long history of creating sprawling conflict zones where players have an exhilarating range of ways to make powerful contributions to the war effort. The competitive multiplayer mode in Battlefield 3 stays true to tradition, delivering an online combat experience that is amazingly addictive, immersive, and exciting, with refinements and new elements that make the familiar action feel fresh. Unfortunately, the stale single-player campaign fails to capitalize on the strengths of the series and feels like an off-brand imitation. The six cooperative missions fare better and offer a tougher challenge, but only the competitive multiplayer provides a compelling reason to buy Battlefield 3. With online battles this excellent, though, that reason is all you need.

4WD Tire Pressures

Is there really a reason that you let your tires down for four wheel driving? You bet! Four wheel drives are designed from standard to handle terrain that other vehicles can't, but in order to make them truly capable you must understand how tire pressures affect the vehicles capability. When you deflate tires down, the sides bulge out slightly, and they grow in length considerably. What this does is allows more rubber to touch the ground, and as a result gives you more traction. It also decreases the amount of weight put on 1 square inch of the rubber (think a high heel vs sneaker in the sand).

Kia Sportage 2012 - A Review

The Kia Sportage is a compact crossover SUV produced by one of the largest automotive manufacturers - Kia Motors. The new generation of Kia Sportage has changed the public view about the car, as lots of people even think that the production of this model has begun since 2010. In reality, the first generation of Sportage was launched in 1993, but the sales as well as profits were too low for the manufacturer company. The success of the company as well as this model has begun just in 2010, in times when the production of redesigned cars began. So logically the most of the magazines, journals and automotive TV shows were awarding Peter Schreyer (chief designer of Kia Motors) for the success of the company. New and developed marketing steps, brand-new designs, higher budget offered by Hyundai and the worldwide productions - these are the major reasons for being the Kia Motors successful in recent years.
